Robots are going to be coming to Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Springs attractions in 2018.
According to a trailer released today, the robot that will be part of the Magic Kingdom, as well as in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom+ theme parks, is called Woodie, and he will play a key role in the theme park, starting with the park’s theme park opening.
Woodie is also going to play a role in a Disney Cruise Line attraction in 2019.
Woodie also has an appearance in a future Disney Cruise line attraction called the Wooden Robot, where he’ll join the party as the party robot and ride a mechanical arm.
A third version of Woodie is expected to debut later in 2019 at a different Disney Springs attraction.
In 2019, Woodie will be able to ride at Disney Springs and Disney’s Hollywood Studios parks, where his robotic arms can lift guests.
We also know that he will make an appearance at the World of Disney World theme park in 2019, but we’re not sure if he will be a part of it.
We’ll keep you posted if there are any other new details on the new robot.
