A security robot that can scan and detect hidden microphones and other hidden microphones in a building has gone into production.
The $9,000 device is equipped with a microphone detector, a microphone scanner, and a software update that can quickly analyze and respond to attacks.
The company behind the device, ToxiSecurity, is based in Seattle, Wash.
The software updates are a result of a $500,000 Kickstarter campaign, according to a press release from the company.
The Toxis security robot can capture hidden microphones with microphones attached.
The company says it can detect a microphone on a surface, but it will only detect a small portion of the microphone.
Toxs microphone scanner also detects microphones and can detect them inside or outside the building, Txpl.com reported.
Toxi Security has been in the development stage for about three years, according the company’s Kickstarter campaign.
It has already been tested by security researchers at the University of Washington.
