This week, Google is releasing a new feature that allows you to answer a phone call with the Google Assistant.
The Assistant will now also let you reply to text messages.
To get started, just head to the Assistant’s Settings page and select “Call”.
You can then answer the phone’s questions with Google’s built-in answer, or answer them with your own voice.
For example, if the caller is asking you to go to the doctor, you can say “I’m coming to the appointment,” or if the doctor asks you to buy a car, you’ll say “driving to the dealership.”
You can also use the Assistant to send text messages, but that’s not available in its current version.
To ask questions using the Assistant, just tap the microphone icon, then select the “Ask Me Anything” option.
You can even use the microphone to answer questions if you don’t want to answer the caller’s questions.
Google’s new feature lets you answer a call without having to ask your phone for an answer.
You’ll also see an LED flash that will indicate that you’ve received a call from the Assistant.
